NEWBERRY STUDENTS PRESENT LEXINGTON RESIDENT WITH AWARD
May 18, 2018
Lexington resident Theresa Daniels was honored by the Newberry College student body at the College’s annual Awards Convocation this spring.
Each year, the Newberry College Student Government Association selects a member of the College faculty or administrative staff to receive the Sadie Crooks Award. The award recognizes a College employee for their service and dedication to the College and for going above and beyond their call of duty.
Daniels is an employee of Sodexo, an on-campus, third-party service provider that manages all campus dining and catering services at the College. Newberry students selected Daniels for the honor in recognition of her positive attitude and caring, considerate approach to her interactions with students.
“Theresa is a wonderful example of how every interaction in every area of the institution can make a difference for students and their College experience,” said Newberry CFO Kathy Worster. “We are pleased the students have recognized Theresa’s contribution to campus.”
Theresa has been a Sodexo employee for 37 years. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she moved to South Carolina in 2005. She worked at the University of South Carolina before joining the food service team at Newberry College in August 2015.
