Newberry College to Host Spring Fest April 12

Newberry College is hosting a Spring Fest on April 12 that will include free events on campus. All events are open to alumni, the community and friends.

Spring Fest begins with Sport Day sponsored by the Newberry College Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Setzler Field. - for all ages up to 16. Learn about the sports offered at the College from the Newberry Wolves. Donations will be accepted for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Join in the fun and games at the practice field behind Eleazer Arena from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Participate in an corn hole tournament, obstacle course, dunk tank, zip line, and more! A D.J. will be performing while Newberry Dining will provide hamburgers, hotdogs and etc. The food is free with a Student ID and $7.00 for everyone else.

Spring Fest continues with an alumni flag football game at 11:30 a.m. on Setzler Field, followed by an alumni meet and greet at 12:00 noon. At 12:45 p.m. the Cheer and Dance teams will perform on the practice field behind Eleazer Arena and at 1:05 p.m. the football team will play their annual spring game on Setzler Field. The softball team will also play at 1:00 p.m. at Smith Road Complex.

The final event of the day will be Jazz on the Lawn at 7:00 p.m. outside the Alumni Music Center. Bring your lawn chairs and come enjoy the music of the College Street Jazz Connection.
