Dedication Ceremony for Bryan Wrigley April 14

April 9, 2012

NEWBERRY, S.C. - A dedication ceremony naming a classroom at Grant Homes apartment community in Newberry, S.C., will honor Bryan Wrigley, a 2006 Newberry College graduate, who died in a cycling accident last year. The dedication ceremony will be held Saturday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m. Bryan was the lead tutor at Grant Homes from 2007-2009, spending four afternoons a week helping children with their homework and most importantly their lives.

Donations from friends and the generous support of the Newberry Housing Authority have enabled the revitalization of the classroom, by painting the classroom, installing a bulletin board and ordering a plaque, in Bryans honor, that will be placed in the room Saturday.

Bryans grandparents will be present for the dedication ceremony, as well as many of his friends. Everyone from the community and college are invited to attend the ceremony.

Directions: From Newberry College, proceed on College St. away from downtown. Turn left at first traffic light (State Farm office on your left), drive across railroad tracks and down hill to traffic light at Louis Rich Rd. Turn right and Grant Homes will soon appear on your left. Enter on the second street into the complex, - Grant Avenue - and circle around to community building on left. Parking in front. Activities Building (where the tutoring occurs) is across the street.
