Bio:
Ms. Dorrell received her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and her Bachelor's degree from Newberry College. Ms. Dorrell provides individual and group counseling services to students on campus who may be experiencing emotional or behavior difficulties. She is licensed with the state of SC and is a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therpist. Prior to arriving on staff in 2006, she spent 20 years employed in a variety of SC mental health settings, including private practice.
While currently the Director of Counseling Services at Newberry College, she joined the adjunct faculty in 2010. She teaches Social Work classes within Department of Business, Behavorial and Social Sciences. Ms. Dorrell and her husband have two children who are currently in college.
