Bio:

Dr. Patrick Beatty received his Ed.D in Educational Leadership Management & Policy from Seton Hall University in 2014. His dissertation work focused on the post-secondary education of New Jersey foster youths. He has served more more than 20 years in law enforcement with the New Jersey Department of Human Services State Police as a Senior Detective, and the Deptford Township Police Department as a Patrolman. His current research involves criminal justice policies focused on foster care victimization, juvenile delinquency, and police ethics.

 

Before joining the Newberry College faculty, Dr. Beatty previously taught at Kutztown University (PA), Cecil College (MD), Delaware County Community College (PA), Salem County Community College (NJ), Gloucester County College (NJ), and as a Certified New Jersey Police Academy Instructor.
